Game Story |
Back to Their Old Selves The Crusaders got back to their winning ways, knocking off Snookers 7 - 4. The Crusaders only had a two-game winless streak, but with the bye weeks coming up they couldn't afford to lose another. They seemed to toy with Snookers most of the night, putting pressure seemingly at will. Snookers opened the scoring on a deflection off of Paul Coffey, I mean Tim Sullivan. The Crusaders answered with four straight goals. Mike Longo scored first with his first of the year. Dale DiBartolomeo, Troy Babisz, Bryan Gaiser continued the barrage. There were times the Crusaders would hold it in the Snookers zone for a solid two minutes. Snookers scored two more goals, one on the power play, only to have Mike LaFerle (twice) and Troy Babisz score three goals. Nothing like a little one-upmanship. Snookers finished the scoring with another power play goal. That was the only area the Crusaders struggled, they allowed two power play goals on two opportunities. They are starting to have fun again, playing loose - that is when they are at their best. |
